It was quite a busy December for Free Cakes for Kids Sutton. Early in the month we sold cakes and raised awareness about the group in the St Nicholas Centre with Emma from Free Cakes for Kids Croydon. Many thanks to Sue Hart and Rachel Bedford for baking cakes and for Rachel coming along to help.
It was a bit quiet, but we did sell a few cakes and talked to lots of people! We also baked Christmas party cakes for the Young Carers and Sutton Women's Aid, hope they enjoyed them! Good news on the partner organisation front as well. I have spoken to Sean at the council about helping families in temporary accomodation and have also got some contacts with social workers looking after families with disabled children. so hopefully lots more cakes to bake in 2014

AuthorI'm Lynne O'Brien, Free Cakes for Kids Sutton organiser. I'm a keen home baker who wants to use my baking skills to make birthdays special for families who can't provide a cake for their child. This is all far more fun than my previous careers as a research scientist and a data manager! Archives
